Rainy Day Traditions

Its raining here and since I've had kids I've kept my Nana's tradition of baking on rainy days. So today I made Cheaters Scones.

What is your family tradition?

Cheaters Scones

3 Cups of self-raising flour
Pinch of salt
1 cup of lemonade
1 cup of cream

Preheat oven to 230 degrees.

Combine all ingredients together and mix to a light dough.

Roll out onto a floured board to desired thickness and cut out approx 12 scones.

Place into oven and cook for 12-15 minutes.

Serve with jam and cream.

Busy week

Gift for Ella - Alexis Beanie in Cotton.  Rainbow done in a shell pattern rather than the usual stripes.
Gift for Alexis - Ashleigh beanie with X stitch stripes with ear flaps and plaited ties.
Gift for Coco - Ballet Cardigan with matching Beanie.  Cleckheaton Pattern
Gift for Jess - Slouchy Beanie inspired by Vickie Howell's Urban Jungle.

I also finally made a beanie for Master J to wear to school this week.  Its navy blue and white, with  a pom pom, ear flaps and plaited ties.  He told me what he wanted and I made it.  It actually looks pretty good and he happily wears it in the morning.

I just love green

I just wanted to share a little something I made for baby Coco, whose Mum doesn't like pink.

On my own ...

I took the brave step of having my own stall on the 11 July at Poppyseed Markets.

Usually I share with my Sister Liz.  It was a little scary but at the same time it was fun as I met some lovely store holders and customers.

My highlight of the day was trying on my Rabbit eared beanie on a newborn baby - she looked so cute, I wish I could of taken a photo.

Yeah!  I reached 400 Fans/Likers on Facebook today - how crazy is that. I don't think I know 400 people in total in the real world.

Its so flattering having someone become a Fan as it really warms my heart to know that someone out there has taken the time to look at my Facebook page and want to know more about me and my woollen creations.

To celebrate this milestone, I'm going to give away a pair of hair clips to the first 5  people who leave a comment below.  If you aren't a member of this blog or a FB fan please provide me with your email address.

1. Entrants must currently reside in Australia.
2. My family (you know who you are) won't be counted.
3. Clips cannot be exchanged for credit towards another item.
4. CPD will randomly choose what clips will be given away.
